Snack Time

A daily snack will be provided during morning recess to help students maintain energy and brain power through the late morning.

AM Kinder:  9:30am
1st Grade:  9:10am
2nd/3rd Grade:  9:35am
4th/5th Grade:  10:00am

 

Bel Air Snack Policy

 Your child may bring a HEALTHY snack that is low in fat and low in sugar.  Your child’s body and mind does not benefit from eating junk food as a school snack.

Some snack suggestions are:

  • Fruit
  • Vegetables
  • Cheese and crackers                     
  • Pretzels
  • Granola bars
  • Yogurt
  • Trail mix

Students need to bring their own snacks and may not share with others.  Takis chips, along with donuts, cookies, candy, etc. will not be permitted during morning snack time.

An unhealthy snack = NO snack

Eating habits (both good and bad) begin at an early age.  Together, we need to teach and reinforce the importance of eating healthy and staying fit.
