MDUSD Reopening Plan:

Bel Air Families,

Please click the link below for information on the Reopening Plan for the 2020 - 2021 school year.

Our Preliminary Reopening Plan for the 2020-21 school year has been published: Reopening Plan

MDUSD Resolution and Equity Policy:

In light of recent events, and for the purpose to condemn violence, racism, and injustice, and to reaffirm equity and humanity as core guiding principles, the Board of Education and district leaders have collaborated to pen this resolution that was declared aloud at the June 8th School Board meeting.  This resolution is published along side a renewed Equity Policy (BP0415) that was presented as a separate but related item.

Distance Learning Information:

Dear Families,

Here are some suggestions for supporting your students at home.

General recommendations:

  1. Try to establish a daily routine. This will provide children with a sense of safety and security in an otherwise unsettling situation, and help them transition back to school when the time comes.

  2. Limit screen time to 1.5 hours (this includes online learning tools, video games, etc.), and limit sessions to 30 minutes.

  3. Review basic academic skills.

  4. Have fun with your family!

  5. Wash your hands a lot, and practice ‘social distancing’!

I know these are challenging times but we will get through this.

Respectfully,

Mr. Humphrey
